Sensory Time
A programme of songs and activities to develop Sensory Integration
Many young children display challenging behaviours as a result of sensory integration differences.
These children may be:
- Unable to cope with sticky fingers
- Distressed by having nails or hair cut
- Frightened by sudden movement
- Fussy eaters
- Constantly banging, spinning or rocking
‘Sensory Time’ is a structured programme of fun activities incorporating the therapeutic power of music to support the development of sensory integration in children aged 2 - 7 years. It aims to inform and help adults to understand what may lie behind a child's behaviour.
‘Sensory Time’ is a complete package containing a book with strategies to support the development of sensory integration in young children, as well as an observation checklist which enables adults to recognise children's sensory preferences.
The fun programme can be used individually at home or with groups of children in a nursery or school.
